Ryan, In VA the school dosen't matter because you have to take the comp end for the school which you attend. Those of you going to PIMS take the comp end serious, very serious!!! Then after you pass the comp. end they will not give your papers until you have taken the National Exam. Now here is the kicker in all that I hope I get this right. You cant sit for the National Exam until the school releases your name to qualify to sit. Then you have to go to an H&R block testing center in order to take the National test unless the school provides the test on campus ( I think alot of them are getting away from that since H&R Block testing is located in every state now) The state dosen't care about the Comp End from the school they just want to know that you have taken the National. The National Dosen't care about the State exam . After you have talked with your banker and paid out to take all the tests (and for some re-taken and re-taken) then you get to pay out more money and pay for the sate exam. Now I don't know if I have just repeated myself or not. Once you pass the state exam then you get your little card and get to pay the state for the rest of your carrier to be apart of one of the greatest Jobs with such great rewards of helping people in a difficult time. So which school you choose matters not becasue everything is hinged on TESTING from the school to the national exam to the local sate in which you plan to practice (theres' a word when do we stop practicing and begin to well you get the drift) Ron |
