A division of one of top funeral home and cemetery corporations is in search of a General Manager for an AZ cluster of two funeral homes and a cemetery. GM would be responsible for managing the operations of each location as well as managing a staff of 20, recruiting talented staff, building a pre-need staff, reducing receivables, cutting expenses, overseeing P&L, making decisions on marketing and advertising, making sure family clients receive the finest service and much more.
This opportunity is located in a town of approximately 100,000 residents and is within a few hours’ drive of several major cities. This town is still growing and has an abundance of cultural activities to offer, as well as all the arts and entertainment needed for a great night or weekend outing.
To be considered for this position, you must have previous experience in managing a funeral home. Cemetery management is a plus and is preferred, but not mandatory. If you are bilingual, then you will have an advantage, as well. You must pose the skills to provide the leadership that will initiate the growth and continue to promote the positive image of these locations. A take charge attitude with the ability to build rapport and rally the troops is a necessity. Besides leadership skills, you must be goal oriented and able to multi-task.
The compensation for this position will be in a range of $50-70K depending on experience and the quality of your interview. Additional bonuses are available equaling up to 20% of your salary.
