Being in the burial vault business I ofen wonder what is more important to a funeral director:

- Is the service and set-up the burial vault company gives at the graveside more important or is the type of burial vault the burial vault comany sells more important?

- Who notices the set-up more, the family or the funeral director?

I would love to hear some opinions on this.

I Think its hands down more me at the cemetary being very pickey then the family. But I can say that I have never had a complaint from a family about the set-up.

The guys we use know what I expect and How I expect it. And becasue I am very paticular about it and how I want the family to see this very part of the service I tend to go the extra mile for the guys as well. Example being take them to lunch on a regular basis or help them tear down so they can go home just as fast.

Ryan,

The families do notice the set up. Clean astro turf, number of chairs, etc. My vault company paints the minimal air seal vault the color of the casket free, while it may not be an exact match people like it. My vault people also direct cemetery parking, making an appearance instead of hiding in the shadows until everyone leaves. We all appreciate their efforts.
